Have you been feeling achey? Congested? Do you have a sinus headache? Is your throat scratchy? Do you feel like you are running on low energy? Do you feel, heavy, and just exhausted? Is stress effecting you more than usual? Do you feel, “hungover” (but you’re actually not)?
Being “sick” is just your body’s way of “cleansing” itself of the germs. It is your body’s way of saying… “hello! something is wrong here! We need to get back in balance.” It is not saying, “take a cold suppressant.”
But that is beside the point, because being sick stinks.
I have seen countless sneezing, watery-eyed, individuals, as of late. Those that aren’t wearing their tissue box, around their neck, are talking about Sally, or Joey, or Mary, or Larry, that is under the weather. While a healthy diet, and ample sleep, are crucial to any healthy lifestyle, these few tips can really help you get better, quicker.

Oil of Oregano*- potent antibacterial, anti-fungal, anti-parasitic, and anti-viral. It also aids in digestion. *Do not use if pregnant.
Probiotics- friendly bacteria, that aid in digestion. If the digestive system is not properly functioning, the body becomes more prone to allergies, skin nuances, and the immunity is weakened. Pharmaceutical medication kill the bad bacteria, but it also kills the good bacteria. Bad bacteria are like weeds, in that they keep coming back. Without an ample supply of the good bacteria, the weeds can get out of control. Look for probiotics that contain at least 10 billion LIVE bacteria.
Coconut Oil – Contains medium-chained fatty acids that fight fungus in the digestive tract. Caprylic acid is also available in the form of a capsule– it is a potent supplement.
Wheatgrass- one of the most alkaline foods you can consume. An acid lifestyle, invites disease. An alkaline lifestyle, invites harmony. If the body is alkaline, the bad guys (bacteria, fungus, bad yeasts, parasites, etc), cannot flourish. Don’t overdo it with the wheatgrass– this stuff is strong, and will encourage detoxification in the body.
Eat garlic (and don’t apologize to your significant other)… It is a potent antibiotic– and known as Russian penicillin! And Ginger is wonderful for digestion too!
